Abstract
CML in blast crisis is characterized by progressive increase in blast count and
ineffectiveness of therapy which was useful in chronic please. We experienced a 57 year
old male patient who was initially diagnosed as CML with high blast count in peripheral
blood and marrow exam, suggesting blast crisis. He responded well to busulfan therapy
which is known to be ineffective in blast crisis and maintained in partial remission for
19 months. The case is presented and discussed with review of literature.
